The objective of this work is to offer readers a text richer than a Bare Act but not as voluminous as a Commentary. While the provisions of the Adhiniyam retain the core principles of its illustrious predecessor, the various structural changes and re-numbering of provisions require everybody to re-orient and re-equip themselves with the altered landscape of the law of Evidence.
