The book has been written to fulfill long felt needed of an authoritative text in the subject for students, teachers, members of the Bar and Bench, prosecutors, defence personnel, police officials and those interested in the administration of Criminal Justice. Importance of an authoritative book on Criminal Procedure can be visualized from the very fact that Article 21 of the Constitution Mandates that 'No person shall be deprived of his life or personal liberty except according to procedure established by law'.
