Summary: It is the eighth edition of the work titled "CONTRACT-I". The work comprises of "Two Parts'. The First Part discusses "the general principles of the law relating to contracts" and Part-II deals with the provisions of "the Specific Relief Act, 1963". As is commonly said, "Law" is a social science and its horizons are expanding. To meet the needs of the changing conditions in changing circumstances, the Judiciary, particularly the Supreme Court of India, addresses itself to keep the "law" young, energetic and alive. So the endeavour of the present author is to extensively update the book in the light of the changing mores. This edition, therefore, incorporates decisions reported upto November, 2020, reiterating and expanding the meaning and ambit of different aspects of the formation of Contracts and the grant of Specific Relief in regard thereto.
