Summary: Entrepreneurship and Economic Development addresses the importance of business creation, which is endemic in subsistence indigenous cultures, widespread in developing economies, and a critical feature of adaptation in the most advanced economies. The author offers systematic comparisons of six stages of economic development which provide information about the adjustments in the economic and social context affecting participation in business creation, the sectors where activities occur, and the nature of the contributions to economic growth and adaptation.
