Discussion and Observations N2 - One of the biggest challenges faced by women in India is the persistence of gender inequality. Women in India are often discriminated against in the homes, at the work places and in society at large. This discrimination can make it difficult for women to take decisions about their own bodies and lives. Access to quality reproductive health services is another major challenge. Many women in India do not have access to contraception, safe abortion services or maternal health care. This is due to a number of factors, including poverty, lack of education, and social stigma, all arising from and further deepening the gender inequality. ---provided by publisher ER -
